Tirupathi may be lost. I know it is prestige issue for both congress and PRP.
People are saying in coastal disticts that Kapu leaders are encouraging people to vote for COngress. Because for them Congress government is bad but TDP is hell.

I dont think this will affect TPT poll prospects, as this could polarise pro-congress caste votes too (which are also in big numbers).
However, as everyone says, the impact in Coastal belts is key. Getting 10-15% Kapu votes in EG, WG and Krishna is also crucial. This incident may actually help in Rayalaseema where there is big Reddy votebank (some of these were going to vote for rebel, prp or independent candidates, and now may not). Frankly, BC/SC/ST voters dont care about this incident at all.
So Rayalaseema impact is minimal and if any, this may hurt Chiranjeevi.
But one needs to manage in EG, WG and Krishna overnight, even if we can get 10% Kapu votes, its not bad.
But I bet this incident will cost Chiranjeevi in TPT, because this kind of incident will only influence Reddy, Kapu and Kamma voters. Rest dont care what TV9 may say about violence, factionsim etc.
But, I hope YSR and Jagan manage this carefully and not be overconfident.
Take it easy boss. Media need ratings so they make tiny issues as sensational. Anyway congress should do better poll management.
One of my class mate managing some booths in madanapalle very positive for YSR.his conclusion if people do not vote YSR that is their own betrayal.That is final.
90% of Balija votes in TPT or seema had gone for TDP in the past, so Congress is not losing anything here anyway. If anything, this will take away more TDP votes.
On the other hand, this will influence Reddy and other non Kapu/Balija votes in favor of Bhumana. So my gut feel is the impact is positive for Cong as far as Seema is concerned.
But even if the impact in Costa is minimal, they should manage. I think leaders in EG, WG and Krishna should spread conciliatory word at ground level.
I also think any Kamma voters may vote Cong in TPT as they want Chiranjeevi to lose in any case.

One thing is there. YSR and Jagan should do more poll management on the poll eve and not just leave it to KVP or other local leaders. I think Phase 1, YSR took poll management a bit lightly. For example, when KCR was spreading anti-muslim talk against Vithal Rao, YSR should have sent Akbaruddin there. I think this is definitely lacking here. Hopefully, they do better last minute preps. There is no point fighting the whole battle well, and last minute taking it easy.
Congress must do gobbels talk tomomrrow, within two hours of poll starting, they must do this, they must do dirty, but planned tricks. It always does not work using heart, sometime one should be cunning as well.
I am also not surprised Chiranjeevi stage managed this. They must have tipped off these crazy Congress guys that there is money in Chiranjeevi room. These local leaders must have thought they will catch him red handed. Got into the trap.

However, the styles of YS/KVP are different from Babu/KCR. YOu can see from previous incidents.
Babu/KCR rely on media. They create a big news and use that news to their advantage. During the time of confidence motion for UPA (re: Nuclear pact with USA), Babu and KCR made big fuss. Looked like they were doing a lot. Nobody even noticed YS and KVP do anything. YOu know what happened.
Babu/KCR behave like street leaders. They will shout loud and use cheap tricks. YS/KVP are cool but master.
Re: Mahboob nagar, I don't think Muslims are that stupiod to just vote for KCR like that. The rumor may have had some effect. But not total wipe out.

Simple calculation folks. We have atleast 110 constituencies in rural areas. Congress should sweep 90% of these. Caste, crred, religion or any affiliation will not matter. Rural voter is very happy. Period.

I agree, majority muslims voted for Cong in MBNR, but still a simple thing like getting the MIM leader there could have blunted even that.
Also, Prakash arrest should have been whipped in media. Hopefully, they are using this on the ground to leverage sympathy.
But there are instances of super poll management also from Cong. Move to get CCTV installed in Mysoora dominated booths is Go for The Kill strategy by Jagan.
But my question is, they should use this everywhere, not make anyone soft targets.
But, for sure, these guys will manage in Costa overnight and move voters better. And as far TPT and Chittoor goes, I am now strongly convinced this will unite Reddy and other caste votes which appear to be going in favor of some PRP and independet candidates earlier. In Kodangal, when Revanth Reddy incident happened, Gurnath Reddy overnight went to lot of places and spread bad things about Revanth. This cost Revanth very badly.

I like now YSR quoting specific figures. I think they are getting detailed reviews now. He is saying 80,000 deficit for KCR. Interestingly, L. Rajagopal said KCR will lose by 11% vote share yesterday. Also, he said Kootami will not win one seat in Hyd. I like the specific figures, these guys are now talking out, which they should have done before.
This is not just saying that we will sweep or we will clean. Hence, my confidence in what they are saying. Also, they are not tomtomming it in media, they are confidently saying. YSR to say that PRP leader will lose in both seats is also a big sign. YSR does not say these things about other normally.

The assumption of kapus support is not correct. In kostha may be mazority of kapus support Cong. But in seema, nellore and Prakasam mazority of kapu balijas support TDP. So PRP effect is even on both parties. These people are blindly saying that kapus are congress votes. It is not true.
Also, CBN body language in Kuppam clear sign of stress. He is fighting to the wall.
In 2004 election also all media cried that CBN will win. But we know what happened. The media always under estimates congress in Andhra.
Rediff is a bandal site, please dont ever read it, even for entertainment.
TDP votes in Rayalaseems will be below 20%, trust me, PRP will take 10-15% from them. This is reflected obviously in low crowd turnout for CBN in Seema tours. Congress votebank in Seema, Prakasam and Nellore in tact. PRP effect could be there in other four districts. But I notice BCs have moved big time in favor of Congress in EG, WG, Krishna and Guntur, which was not the case before. If Kapus are voting PRP, Kammas voting TDP, who is turning out big numbers for YSR. YSR drew the best crowds consistently in EG, Krishna, Guntur and WG in that order in the entire state. Trust me, he had more crowds in these districts compared to even Rayalaseema. Only ATP tour came close to that recently.
So these A/C room calcs are not as simple as they appear.

KCR will lose in Mahbubnagar:
April 22: The Chief Minister, Dr Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, on Wednesday dismissed pre-poll surveys conducted by agencies such as ORG Marg predicting 160 to 170 seats for the Congress.
“I had raised this discrepancy with the Marg officials, but they told me they generally give a lower estimate for the ruling party as they fear anti-incumbency and anti-establishment factors,” he said in an informal chat with mediapersons.
“But I am confident that the Congress would sweep the polls.”
The Chief Minister reiterated that the Congress would win 230 Assembly and 36 Lok Sabha seats in the state riding a pro-incumbency wave.
Dr Reddy also predicted that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was going to lose in the Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha seat with a
margin of about 80,000 votes.
“It won’t be a surprise even if the Congress wins the two seats contested by Chiranjeevi,” he said. “We are also trying to win in Kuppam where the Telugu Desam chief, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, is contesting.”
When asked about Mr Naidu’s allegation that the Congress and the Praja Rajyam were involved in match fixing, the Chief Minister shot back: “Chiranjeevi also levelled the allegation that the TD and the Congress were involved in match fixing,” he said. “I know both these parties are fighting to get a distant second place.”
Dr Reddy described the cash transfer scheme announced by Mr Naidu as total fraud and said the TD chief had lost his credibility among the public. “Even if he announces a reward of Rs 10,000 for a vote, no one will believe him,” said the Chief Minister.
Dr Reddy defended the comments he made in the Nandyal public meeting regarding Telangana and pointed out that he had said nothing new.
“I reiterated what I had said in the Serilingampally and Shadnagar election meetings earlier,” he said.
“What wrong have I committed in making those comments? Let us see how people react to my comments, and we will know only at the time of results whether it has done good or bad for the party.”

sitiuation is very favourable.Congress distributed money already in lot of constituencies.
Lot of sure TDP seats are turning tight or in congress favour in Krishna.like Milavaram it was a sure TDP seat. now majority saying Congress has edge.same with pamarru.Most believe now that gudivada is congress seat.
Same situation in Wesst godavari.

As some one mentioned kapu vote is not 100 percent belong to congress.
I think it was split 62-38 in the last election.
When TDP won the split will be mostly 50-50 or 55-45 towards TDP.
We alawys enjoyed the max kapu support but at the same time tdp also has sizeable voting share of kapus.
Lets see what happens in the election. I just hope tha congress swept RS , Nellor and Prakasam..
And i guess we wil get some good no.of seats in GNT.
